The Cleveland Cavaliers capped an excellent month of November with a 10-game win streak after a 121-114 win over the Atlanta Hawks. Having been part of a 27-game unbeaten run along LeBron James as a member of the Miami Heat, Dwyane Wade was encouraged by this incredible run, but didn’t put it right with the Heat’s run in 2013.
“I don’t think we’re there yet, but it’s definitely good,” said Wade, who contributed 19 points and four steals off the bench, according to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin. “You know, we was 5-7 at one point. Now we’re 15-7. We’re playing good basketball but even the games that we haven’t played great, we found ways to win. We played great in certain moments of the game. So, we’re not there yet from a standpoint of where we’re watching and we’re looking at the streak, but 10 in a row to end this month, it was a good win.”
The Heat’s torrid 27-game run was the closest to threaten the Los Angeles Lakers all-time record of 33 in a row at the time, later surpassed by a 28-game run from the Golden State Warriors, ranging from the last four regular-season victories in 2014-15 and another 24 through the start of 2015-16.
Wade has taken his role on the bench in stride, scoring in double digits in seven of the 10 games of this active streak.
