On Saturday evening, the Cleveland Cavaliers improved to 7-3 on the young 2025 NBA season with a thrilling home win over the Chicago Bulls. The Cavs trailed this game by as many as 19 points at one point in the contest but slowly but surely rallied their way back, ultimately using a 10-0 run late to propel themselves to the victory.

Throughout this game, there were some questionable calls that didn’t go the Cavs’ way, and in the postgame locker room, Cavs youngster Jaylon Tyson decided to take the high road when asked about the officiating.

“I’m not gonna comment on the officials because I’m not finna get no fine,” said Tyson, per Fullcourtpass on X, formerly Twitter.

“Why not?” wondered teammate and Cavs star Donovan Mitchell.

“Unless you wanna pay the fine,” replied Tyson.

Mitchell then quipped, “I’m not paying them s***.”

“There’s your answer,” concluded Tyson.

The funny moment was a good example of the chemistry this Cavs team has quickly built, with veterans like Mitchell assimilating seamlessly with some of the younger players, including Tyson.

As previously mentioned, the Cavs now sit at 7-3, good for second place in the Eastern Conference behind the 7-2 Detroit Pistons. The Cavs stumbled out of the gates this year with a blowout loss against the New York Knicks but have gotten back on the right track since then, with Mitchell leading the way.

Darius Garland recently returned from injury to play in his first game of the season but missed Saturday’s game against the Bulls on the second night of a back to back, as the team looks to slowly ramp him up to speed. The Cavs are also waiting for the injury return of Max Strus, who has also been out of the lineup for the entirety of the season thus far.

In any case, the Cavs will next take the floor on Monday evening against the Miami Heat on the road.
