In his 15th season in the league, LeBron James is putting up nothing short of yet another stellar campaign.
The type of performances that James has continued to be able to showcase has drawn some major praise from former Cleveland Cavaliers general manager David Griffin.
“What he does that defies the imagination is that he keeps getting better. He’s 33 years old, and he’s the best version of himself he’s ever been. He’s shooting the ball better than he ever has and continuing to add a piece to the handbag. It’s incredible what he’s able to do.”
What has been most remarkable about LeBron James’ level of play has been the efficiency he has had on the offensive end of the floor, shooting career-best marks from the field at 57.6 percent and 41.7 percent from beyond the arc while being tied for third in the league in scoring at 28.3 points per game. He is also third in the NBA with 8.7 assists per contest.
Prior to Saturday’s game against the Philadelphia 76ers, James has shot at least .500 from the field in 13 straight contests while doing so in 24 of 27 games this season. He has scored at least 20 points 23 times and 30 points or more 12 times along with being one of three players in the league averaging at least 25.0 points per game on greater than 50 percent shooting from the field.
LeBron James is also on pace to put together his second career season shooting greater than 55 percent from the field and 40 percent from beyond the arc, which he and Hall of Famer Chris Mullin are the only players to accomplish that feat in league history.
The fact that James experiencing his best season of his career in his 15th year speaks not only of his ability on the court but also his work ethic and commitment to the game. All of this just further separates him as one of the best players that the league has ever seen.
