Cleveland Cavaliers guard Darius Garland’s ability to work in crunch time earned him more than just praise from Chauncey Billups.
Darius Garland partnered up with PLB Sports and Entertainment, a Pittsburg-based food company with a wide variety of athlete-themed snacks and more, to announce the brand new “Crunchland Chips” that will soon be released into Cleveland retail markets, according to multiple sources.
“I love snacking on chips, so I was really excited when I was offered the opportunity to have my own line,” Garland said in a Wednesday announcement. “These are some of the most legendary chip flavors, and I’m excited to see it all come together.”
Flavors include plain sea salt, barbecue and sea salt and vinegar. Bags will exclusively be available at Heinen’s grocery stores for Cleveland markets, according to the firm’s website. Cavs fans can pre-order two bags of Garland’s chips on the company’s website for $29.99 or a “variety bundle” for $37.99.
“We are excited to partner with PLBSE to carry Darius Garland’s Crunchland Chips as the exclusive retailer,” Heinen’s Packaged Goods Director Kim Heinen said. “Darius and his team are having an incredible season. We are thrilled to offer Darius’ Crunchland Chips to his fans at Heinen’s.”
PLB Sports and Entertainment’s line of products includes Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb’s “Chubb Crunch,” Cincinnati Bengals receiver Ja’Marr Chase’s “UNO Chips,” St. Louis Cardinals first baseman Albert Pujols’s “Pujols Crunch” and New Orleans Saints defensive end Cam Heyward’s “Blitz Mix,” among other items.
Darius Garland is averaging a career-high 22.2 points per game in his fourth season with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Garland sponsored a youth basketball league in Nashville before the start of the 2022-23 season, giving boys and girls from kindergarten through eighth grade the opportunity to play basketball at sites in three Tennessee-based schools, according to a mid-October report from the Tennessean.
