At times over LeBron James’ career, it has felt like he is the only guy on his team, and he has had to carry and will his team to victory by himself.
Since LeBron James has played in the big three era though, his teams have gotten better and he has had other players to help him reached the promised land.
This year, though at times the rest of the team has really struggled, and it hasn’t resulted in good results for the team. One of those games was on Thursday night against the Philadephia 76ers.
James carried his weight putting up 30 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists. The rest of the team didn’t hold up their end of the bargain though, and the next highest scorer was Larry Nance Jr, with only 13 points.
That isn’t a good thing for the Cavaliers as they are only 1-5 this season when none of LeBron’s teammates scores 15 points.
That might be the problem for the Cavaliers as they try and make their second-half push. They don’t have a true number two guy that they can turn to when they need a basket down the stretch, or when James is sitting on the bench.
Some of these other guys are going to need to figure it out quickly if they want any chance to get by the Celtics or Raptors and represent the Eastern Conference in the NBA Finals.
They will be getting Kevin Love back here in the near future from injury, but even he isn’t the most clutch guy around and although he is a good scorer, he can be very inconsistent at times.
