The first-round series between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Toronto Raptors is yet to be over, but Charles Barkley is seemingly already done with the Cavs.
The Basketball Hall of Famer selected the Cavs to represent the Eastern Conference in the 2026 NBA Finals, but he’s already regretting that pick.
During halftime of Wednesday’s Game 5 between the Cavaliers and the Raptors at Rocket Arena in Cleveland, Barkley issued an apology for backing James Harden and company.
Meanwhile, fans had a lot to say about Barkley’s take.
“I just wanna apologize for picking the Cavs to get to the Finals,” Barkley said.
Cleveland outscored the Raptors in the first quarter by four points, but Toronto turned things around in the second period, outscoring the home team by 11 points to take a seven-point lead to halftime.
“That halftime face says everything about how this game is going 😅,” a fan said.
“The Cavs don’t even deserve Cancun. They should all be sent to San Antonio or Galveston,” a social media user on X shared.
“Good on Chuck for owning it, mate. That first half was wild, Cavs looked all over the shop. Reckon they can turn it around?” another one commented.
“I guess he is drunk lmao😂😂🥀,” a different fan said.
“Have any of these guys ever been right about anything?,” another comment read.
Game 5 of the Cavs-Raptors series is a crucial one, to say the least. Cleveland won the first two games of the series before Toronto equalized with wins in Game 3 and Game 4.
