Cleveland Cavaliers rookie sensation Evan Mobley is the latest player to enter the league’s health and safety protocols. The Cavs are set to take on the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday, Mobley will not play.
This is a tough loss for the Cavs as Mobley has been playing like the Rookie of the Year. On the season, he’s averaging 13.8 points with 8.3 rebounds while playing high-level defense
The Cavs have been playing excellent basketball this season as they are 18-12. Plenty of their early-season success can be contributed to just how well Mobley has looked as a rookie. At this point through the first two and a half months of the season, there is no debate that Mobley isn’t the best rookie in the NBA.
When watching the Cavs rookie star, there’s a sense of maturity as he just doesn’t play as the normal rookie does. He’s going to be a force in this league for the next 15 years and is going to be a big part of the Cavs’ future. This is a tough loss for them, but the Bucks are also missing a few players so there is still a good chance that they could walk away with a victory. They’re going to hope to get Mobley back within the next two weeks so they can continue their hot play through the middle of the season.
Cleveland has some tough games coming up against some of the better teams in the Eastern Conference.
