LeBron James could’ve become an NFL star if he didn’t ditch his football dreams for his hoops aspirations. While he went on to lend his freakish athleticism to basketball, he’s always been a football fan, especially of the Ohio State Buckeyes.
It makes sense since James is from Ohio, not to mention that there was a time before that Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer tried to woo a young James to come play football for the Columbus-based campus. So just imagine the kick the Cleveland Cavaliers superstar got, when Meyer tagged James in a tweet showing the Buckeyes sporting LeBron gear.
Yes sir! Love seeing my guys move in style!! @OhioStateFB #StriveForGreatness🚀 https://t.co/k4F6JZCdjB

Meyer’s tweet shows a few Buckeyes following the team’s arrival in Bloomington, where Ohio State will kick off its season against the Indiana Hoosiers this Thursday. Hopefully for the Buckeyes, wearing James’ threads would translate to a victory, something they’re likely to accomplish based on the fact that Ohio State is a 21.5-point favorite against Indiana.
Or maybe, this is just LeBron James’ way of reminding everyone that Michael Jordan is not the only NBA personality to have his brand outfit an entire college football squad.
