The Cleveland Cavaliers begin a three game road trip that will see them play their final road game of the regular season on Saturday before a pair of home games to officially end the regular season. It is, however, a relatively odd schedule and the road games will still bring out loads of Cavs fans.

A lot of teams are still going to be traveling across the country to play games, like the Grizzlies in Los Angeles, Rockets at Timberwolves, Warriors at Spurs, and the Celtics in Miami against the Heat. Some of those are still a pretty good distance from home, especially when you’re struggling to hold onto your playoff spot like the Grizzlies, who have lost six in a row and are 2-8 in their last 10 games.

The Cavs, however, have five games left and four of them, oddly enough, are against all four teams in their division: at the Bucks (today, 4/5/2016), at the Pacers (tomorrow, 4/6/2016), at the Bulls (Saturday, 4/9/2016), home vs. Atlanta (Monday, 4/11/2016), and home vs. Detroit (next Wednesday, 4/13/2016). All of those road games are within 500 miles Cleveland, and it should make for an easier trip than most with the distance and familiarity the Cavs have with all three opponents and the Central division as a whole.

After that, the Cavs come home for a pair of games against Atlanta and Detroit. At this rate, it looks like the Hawks will very much need that win to climb as high as possible in the standings. If the Cavs fail to beat Chicago on the road, the home game against the Pistons to close out the regular season could essentially decide their first round opponent.

It’s still too early to tell who will be seeded where, but the Cavs are just three games from securing the number one overall seed.
