After Andrew Bogut went down with a fractured tibia, the Cleveland Cavaliers find themselves in a bit of a scramble for a suitable replacement for their frontcourt desires.

According to Sam Amico of Fox Sports Ohio and AmicoHoops.net, the Cavs are close to a deal that would bring Larry Sanders to Northeast Ohio.

Amico also pointed out that there will be some hurdles to jump if Sanders is indeed to wear Wine and Gold for the remainder of the season. The Cavs will need to waive Bogut, who suffered his injury just 58 seconds into his debut.

As Amico reports, a deal for the 6-foot-11 rim protector could be struck as early as Monday. Quite a few teams showed interest in Sanders. In fact, he has met with (and worked out for) several teams around the NBA, including the Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics.

Over the course of his five seasons in the association, Sanders has averaged 6.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks per game. His best season came during the 2012-13 campaign with the Milwaukee Bucks, when he finished seventh and third in Defensive Player of the Year and Most Improved Player of the Year voting, respectively, with averages 9.8 points, 9.5 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 2.8 blocks in 27.7 minutes per game.
