Tristan Thompson has been a restricted free agent since July 1, and has been unable to come to an agreement with the Cleveland Cavaliers on a contract extension. That is, until today.
That’s right, Thompson FINALLY signed a 5-year, $82 million deal with the Cavs today, reported first by Chris Haynes of NEOMG.

Thompson’s contract is reportedly fully guaranteed for all five years. This puts an end to the contract holdout, and now the Cavs and Thompson can both get back to business.
