With Nike taking over as the NBA’s official uniform provider for the 2017-18 season, hoops fans across the globe are wondering what their team’s new kits might look like. According to a recent update from NBA.com, rather than traditional “home whites” and “away” jerseys, each organization will have four primary color schemes to choose from on a game-by-game basis.

“The ‘Association Edition’ will be the team’s traditional white uniform, while what was formerly the road uniform will now be designated as the ‘Icon Edition.’ The two remaining editions will be revealed later this fall.

“Along with those four uniform editions, eight teams will have a ‘Classic Edition’ available this fall, a nod to these team’s most iconic looks, which they can also choose to occasionally wear.”

Earlier today, Twitter user @tommy_2step shared this photo of Cleveland’s new uniform design. While its numbers, waistline, and accents are black, it appears as though Wine and Gold are still the most prevalent hues in this particular edition.

Nike’s new uniform, which is slated for a full launch this Fall, is made from a combination of Alpha Yarns and recycled polyester materials. According to their official website, each athlete uniform represents approximately 20 recycled PET bottles.

There is no doubt that NBA fans will be clamoring for their favorite team’s new jersey. Be sure to keep your browsers locked on Cavs Nation for more updates on this topic as they become available.
