The Cleveland Cavaliers simply weren’t ready to let the Golden State Warriors celebrate in their gym — again.
Last night, the Cavs squared off against the Warriors in Game 4 of the NBA Finals, resulting in a 137-116 runaway victory for Cleveland. Aside from LeBron James‘ spectacular triple-double performace (31 points, 11 assists, 10 rebounds, and one steal), it was Kyrie Irving who willed the Cavs to victory. In his 41 minutes of action, Uncle Drew recorded 40 points (15-of-27 field, 7-of-12 from downtown), seven rebounds, four assists, and one steal.
The Warriors simply had no answer for Irving, who repeatedly burned them with driving layups and deflating three-pointers. In fact, Uncle Drew made 11 of his first 14 shot attempts.

After last night’s game, James spoke to members of the media with regards to Irving’s performance in closeout situations. The King says Irving “was built for the biggest moments.”

“He’s just been very special in closeout games,” James said of Irving. “On both sides. Us being able to close out a team trying to close out on us. He’s just been built for that moment. I said that over and over again, that he’s always been built for the biggest moments, and tonight he showed that once again. It’s not surprising. He’s just that special.”
Will Irving and the Cavs be able to keep their momentum rolling? Only time will tell. Game 5 is slated for Monday at 9:00 p.m. inside Oracle Arena, with ABC having live broadcast rights.
