After coming up with a huge Game 7 win to advance to the franchise’s first ever Eastern Conference Finals, Kyle Lowry was asked about how tough it would be to defend LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. While answering the question, Lowry said “LeBron is probably one of the best players in the league aside from Stephen Curry.”
Red flag words that the media ran with: “Probably,” “one of the best,” and “aside from.”

Ahead of Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals, LeBron James was asked about the Lowry comment. Joe Vardon of Cleveland.com reports on James’ reaction.
LeBron James nodded Monday when he was asked if he took offense to Toronto’s Kyle Lowry placing him on the wrong side of Stephen Curry in terms of who’s the best player in the NBA, signaling that he was indeed aware of what Lowry said.
And then James responded with a solemn growl: “None taken.”
James averaged 23 points, 5.3 rebounds, 7.3 assists, and 1.3 steals in three games against the Raptors this season. Think LeBron will be focused and pumped to show the Raptors who the best player in the world is on the court?
