The Cleveland Cavaliers traveled to Washington on Monday to face the red hot Wizards, competing in the Cavs best regular season game to date. The thriller of a game went down to the wire in overtime, and with countless highlight plays the Cavaliers would walk away with a 140-135 win.

Between a ridiculous LeBron James jump shot to send the game to overtime, a Kyrie Irving late game, Game 7-esque dagger, a Bradley Beal 41 point performance and Kevin Love posting 39 and 12, a career night on the stat line seemed to fade away for LeBron.

Among all the madness, James posted a career-high 17 assists on the night, along with his 32 points and seven boards on 12/18 shooting and 6/8 from deep.

James’ previous high was 16 against the Sacramento Kings in 2013.

The number is an incredibly impressive feat, but the play itself was crucial to the Cavaliers victory. Kevin Loved drained the three-point attempt, giving Cleveland a four point lead late in the fourth quarter.

LeBron has already cemented his name as the best passing forward of all time, this just adds another feather to the cap.
