LeBron James becomes first player to average a triple double in NBA Finals
James scored 41 points, grabbed 13 rebounds, and dished out eight assists in Game 5, upping his series averages to 33.6 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists per game. That triple double average by James is the first ever in the NBA’s 71-year history.
LeBron James finishes the 2017 NBA Finals AVERAGING a triple double at 33.6 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists per game. Unreal.

James became the first player in NBA history to lead both teams in points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks in an NBA Finals series last year en route to Cleveland’s first title and his third. This season, he and the Cavs come up short, but he’ll be looking for revenge next year.
