Andrew Bogut‘s long awaited debut with the Cleveland Cavaliers was all but a 58-second stint before he suffered a fractured left tibia in a nasty collision with forward Okaro White of the Miami Heat. The injury wasn’t a pleasant sight to see, according to LeBron James.
“As soon as the collision happened, I heard it break,” James told ESPN’s Dave McMenamin. “And when I went over to him and he said (it was broken), I already knew it. I heard it crack. It took the air out of the whole building.”

The injury comes at an untimely stretch for the Cavs as they look for frontcourt depth after getting Kevin Love on the sidelines. The team reloaded with the additions of Deron Williams and Bogut, but if this proves to be a season-ending injury, it’s likely that they could waive him and look for help elsewhere.
The cheerful Aussie was excited to suit up for his new team, but as fate would have it, it would be a very short debut at the Q.
“It’s very deflating… a tough moment. We all were excited about the acquisition and bringing him in here,” James said. “We can hope for the best… but it’s a tough one not only for him, first of all, but for our ballclub.”
