After the Cavs rallied to regain control of Game 4 and the Eastern Conference Finals, a lot of attention was drawn to the role players supporting LeBron James during his momentary lapse. Kyrie Irving certainly provided a spark with his career high scoring effort, but Kevin Love gave the Cavs consistency. With punishing shooting and reliable rebounding, Love gave Cleveland everything they could’ve asked from him. This includes incredible outlet passes, which he attributes largely to his hot route receiver in James.

Prudent of Love to have corrected himself and erase any other possibility in the debate of best NBA wide-out. Love’s childhood football experience has refined the skill to the point that it’s accounted for every opponent’s defensive game plan even if it can’t always be stopped. Certainly, having a receiver like James on the other end helps. Arguably the greatest combination of speed and strength we’ve ever seen in a player, James’ intangibles certainly validates Love’s claim.
