Kevin Durant sounds off on LeBron James and 'The Decision'
Every Cleveland Cavaliers fan will always remember where they stood on July 8th, 2010. It was a dark day for the franchise — a day in which LeBron James held ‘The Decision’, expressing his intentions to join the Miami Heat.
Apparently, Kevin Durant remembers that day vividly as well, appearing on ‘The Bill Simmons Podcast’, speaking about many things. A topic of conversation was James’ decision to “take his talents to South Beach”, comparing it to his own abandonment of the Oklahoma City Thunder.
In the conversation, Kevin Durant and Bill Simmons spoke about the way LeBron handled himself on his way out of Cleveland. Durant had an interesting opinion on James’ decision to team up with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, citing his doubts in James joining forces under certain circumstances.
“If Wade was a three man, he wouldn’t have went there.”
Durant’s motives are unknown, after also leaving his former team in a controversial fashion over the summer. Durant joined forces with the reigning Western Conference Champions, filling the void of a superstar small forward, something the Golden State Warriors lacked.
So Durant left in a questionable way, joining a super team that lacked a player of his position. Sound familiar? What’s that old saying KD?
