Nike is set to release the latest line of LeBron James‘ shoe with the LeBron 14s that will hit the store shelves this weekend.
However, Cleveland Cavaliers guard J.R. Smith has revealed on Instagram that he got himself a pair of the sneakers before James.

Smith had an opportunity to snag them first given that he’s currently in Hong Kong, where clothing apparel and shoes are typically released at an early date. That said, it would be safe to think that James would have the shoe before it even hit the market given that it is designed under his name.
If anything, this is just another ringing endorsement of support from Smith toward his close friend and teammate whom he has had the rare opportunity to play alongside the last three years in Cleveland. They have since developed a strong bond over that span.
As for the LeBron 14s, these are some slick looking pair of shoes that should be another top selling item for Nike. It shares a similar look to many of the latest styles sneakers in his line that could be an extremely popular choice of footwear for numerous players around the league this upcoming season.
