During the second quarter of last night’s Game 1 matchup of the Eastern Conference Finals, Boston Celtics guard Marcus Smart tried to sell a foul by “flopping,” as they say. The only problem was that nobody — including Cavaliers marksman J.R. Smith — bought it.

For whatever reason, Smart was guarding Kevin Love on the low block. With just a tiny bump from Love’s back-down attempt, Smart flung his arms up and fell like a sack of potatoes.

At the time, Smith was watching from the bench, as the Cavs had already built a 13 point advantage. When he saw Smart flop, the smooth-shooting swingman quickly jumped up and belted out a few choice words, saying: “Get your a** up!”

Game 2 is set for Friday at 8:30 p.m. inside TD Garden. We’ll just have to wait and see if Smith and the Cavs can continue their march through the playoffs. With a win, the champs would have a new franchise record for consecutive playoff victories (13).
