The Cleveland Cavaliers are in the midst of their second ever NBA Finals and have the tough task of defeating the Golden State Warriors for the NBA Championship. LeBron James, for one, always shuts down social media during the playoffs. Others like J.R. Smith continue to engage in Twitter and Instagram, but still keep their focus on the challenge ahead.
An athlete’s voice on social media is quite strong however, and early Tuesday afternoon, J.R. Smith voiced a little frustration about the news and what they were displaying out for people to see. In an Instagram post that has since been deleted, J.R. Smith took a shot at transgender Caitlyn Jenner, calling her a science experiment.

Some may argue that Smith was out of line, but everyone has their opinions on this whole situation. Smith should keep his focus on the Cavaliers and NBA Finals, because his matchup in Klay Thompson is locked in.
