Tonight, the Cleveland Cavaliers are back on their home court to close out their current back-to-back set with a matchup against the Washington Wizards.

Just before tipoff, Cavs head coach Tyronn Lue announced that Iman Shumpert will not play in tonight’s game due to knee soreness.

According to Joe Vardon of Cleveland.com, Shumpert started experiencing pain in his knee after today’s walkthrough and shootaround drills.

Shumpert, who is averaging 7.8 points on 37.8% accuracy from beyond the arc, has been coming off the bench the past two games. He is likely being held out for precautionary measures.

LeBron James, who suffered an eye injury in the third quarter of last night’s game against the Charlotte Hornets, will play in tonight’s game.
