The Cleveland Cavaliers have found a trio of young stars to build around in Darius Garland, Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley. Garland and Allen were first-time All-Stars for the Cavs and Mobley could become one very soon. With Garland’s playmaking skills and the size that Allen and Mobley bring, Cleveland has a very solid foundation to improve upon.

Allen told Spencer Davies of BasketballNews.com that his partnership with Garland has clicked extremely well and that it will only get better.

“Things really clicked for us as soon as I got to Cleveland,” Allen said, via BasketballNews.om “Obviously, we all know he’s an amazing point guard. But the thing that I don’t think people realize is just how willing he is to learn the game, how willing he is to work with myself to try to figure out the best position for me to catch the ball and to just finish a lob. And I see it expanding even further.”

Garland and Allen should indeed continue to blossom together. Both players had career years in their first campaign together thanks to their complementary skills and Mobley’s brilliance. All three of them have room to get even better, which would allow the Cavs to become a true playoff contender and potentially more.

The Cavs’ young players could all take a step forward next season and help the team firmly clinch a playoff spot. They lost their playoff spot in the play-in tournament but could have better fortunes next season with more chemistry and development.
