Lanier High School, 40th pick in 2005, Golden State Warriors
Monta Ellis led Lanier High School to a 129-16 win-loss record during his four year stay and, at one point, scored 72 points in a single game. Ellis was named Mr. basketball for Mississippi and is also the state’s second all-time leading scorer. Ellis was drafted in the second round by the Golden State Warriors and despite not being selected in any All Star team as of yet, Ellis is recognized as one of the league’s most lethal offensive weapons.
