21-0, this was the score at one point Monday night at the Q when the Cavaliers trounced the Hornets just a few minutes after the tipoff. The Cavs had full control of this game from start to finish and once again are back to their winning ways, mounting a 14-9 record on the year with the 97-88 victory over Charlotte. Here are the highlights of tonight’s contest:
{adinserter 2}After LeBron scored 41 against the Pelicans on Friday night, he followed up with 27 points and 13 assists on the night. Kevin Love continued his hot streak with 22 points and 18 rebounds. Kyrie Irving also finished with 16 points. The chemistry was there tonight for Cleveland and so was the defensive intensity.
The Hornets finished with only 88 points on the night to continue their downward spiral. And even though Kemba Walker finished with 24 points, it wasn’t close to enough. This was the Cavs night, simple as that. There seems to be a formula to the Cavs success in winning this year, and it goes something like this.
Big 3 Domination + Defensive Tenacity + Supportive Bench = Winning
At 14-9, and another four straight games at home, it seems as though the Cavs should have some smooth sailing up to Christmas, when LeBron will make his highly anticipated return to Miami.
