The Cleveland Cavaliers won Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals by 31 points. There confidence appears at an all-time high as they carried over their momentum from Game 1 to Game 2 as they came out with another victory against the Toronto Raptors. The Raptors were looking to even the series up and avoid back to back losses for the first time all postseason, but came up short.

The Raptors got off to a decent start and were knocking down some open jump shots. DeMar DeRozan was once again hot early and finished the game with a team-high 22 points. However, the Cavs turned the intensity up defensively to end the first half to take a halftime lead of 62-48. The second half was more of the same with the Big Three leading the way. LeBron James recorded te 15th triple double of his playoff career with 23 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists.

Kyrie Irving led the team in scoring with 26 points and Kevin Love scored 19 points and grabbed five rebounds.

The Cavaliers have been playing great defense and held the Raptors to 89 points on 40% shooting from the field and just 27% from downtown. The stifling defense after the first quarter allowed the Cavs to run in transition and continuously get to the basket at will. The victory means Cleveland now sits at 10-0 this postseason. Game 3 is on Saturday at 8:30PM EST with the court changing in favor of Toronto. This will be a pivotal game for the Raptors, essentially and a must win, as no team has ever come back from a 3-0 series deficit. The Cavs could very well take that 3-0 lead by the looks of it, but they’ll have to remain focused.
