With all the negative news surrounding Kyrie Irving, specifically about his desire to bolt out of Northeast Ohio, fans of the Cleveland Cavaliers have been very upset at him. They are now preparing to move on without him, and have started the infamous rite, which they have already done in the past.

Some of the team’s supporters recorded Uncle Drew’s jersey being placed in a fire pit, and burned it. More than setting it on fire, it shows how much anger they have now towards him, and that they may be already sold to seeing him play for another team starting next season.

Burning jerseys has been somewhat of a norm these days, especially when a team’s star decides to leave during free agency, or demands a trade from their front office. Irving has yet to make a statement since the development broke out, as he just came back from Asia, as he was part of the Nike World Tour. News also surfaced that the Cavs have been unable to contact him, to possibly have some talks regarding his future.

It remains to be seen where he’ll end up playing in the future, but basing it from the actions of some fans in the city, it’s clear that they are not fond of Irving anymore. Which team he’ll play for next may still be up in the air, but one thing certain at this point, is that the Cavaliers will look for the best deal they can get for his services, in order for them to still be a strong title contender next year.
