Dan Gilbert pledges to match Cupid's Undie Run participant totals

Stripping down to your undies and running through the streets of Cleveland would normally result in a trip to the police station. However, on February 4th, participants in Cleveland’s Cupid Undie Run will be allowed to do just that in support of a great cause – without fear of indecent exposure charges.

Cupid’s Undie Run is a (roughly) one mile run that is designed to raise money for The Children’s Tumor Foundation and neurofibromatosis research.

According to their official website, all Cupid’s Undie Run participants in Cleveland that raise between $500 and $1,000 will have their donations matched by Cavaliers owner, Dan Gilbert.

So, why race in your undies? According to Cupidsundierun.org, the answer is simple.

“We run in our undies because people with NF (neurofibromatosis) can’t cover up their tumors. They can’t put clothes on to feel more comfortable, so why should we?”

This year’s race is set to begin at 2:00 p.m. EST, just outside The House of Blues at 308 Euclid Avenue in downtown Cleveland. To register, volunteer, or just donate, visit the official Cupid’s Undie Run website.
