Chuck D sides with LeBron James in Charles Barkley beef

Recently, a lot has been said of LeBron James‘ comments about the current state of the defending champion Cleveland Cavaliers‘ roster. The King’s frustrated remarks came after Cleveland’s loss to the New Orleans Pelicans last week.

Last Thursday, during an airing of Inside the NBA on TNT, members of the panel were asked what they thought of James’ comments. Ernie Johnson, host of the show, asked Charles Barkley to fill in the blank, saying: “LeBron James’ comments were…”. As expected, Barkley did not hold back.

After Cleveland’s 124-116 win over the Brooklyn Nets on Friday night inside Quicken Loans Arena, James was asked what he thought of Barkley’s on-air comments. The King, who had just posted 31 points, 11 assists, and five rebounds on the reeling Nets, seemed to brush Barkley’s comments aside.

On Monday night, the Cavs fell to the Dallas Mavericks, 104-97. After the game, James lashed out at Barkley for his constant criticism.

James has been receiving quite a bit of support from his peers after calling out Barkley for his hypocrisy. Chuck D, legendary rap artist and front-man for Public Enemy, took to Twitter to voice his opinions on the matter. It’s fairly evident who he sides with on this one.
