Shaquille O’Neal and the rest of the Shaqtin’ A Fool crew will certainly have a field day on this one, as Cleveland Cavaliers center Tristan Thompson might have pulled off one of the most outrageous plays this season.

With less than three minutes left in regulation in the Cavs’ away game versus the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday, Thompson displayed great hustle by racing all the way to the other end of the court to retrieve a loose ball.

Cavs’ two ball handlers Darius Garland and Collin Sexton came over to retrieve the basketball and bring it back to their side of the floor.

But for some reason, the 28-year-old Canadian big opted not to give up the ball and brought it back down himself. Blanketed by the defense, Thompson performed two behind the back crossovers and one spin move before launching ridiculous a left-handed heave from way behind the 3-point line.

His futile attempt hit all glass, as the Sixers regained possession. Even worse, the Cavs had enough time to get up a better look as there was still three seconds to spare in the shot clock when Thompson shot it.

The Cavs went on to lose that game by a single-point, 98-97. Thompson did finish with a solid double-double of 17 points and 12 rebounds in 33 minutes.
