In a reunion between player and coach, Tristan Thompson of the Cleveland Cavaliers hugged and lifted LA Clippers assistant coach Tyronn Lue.
Peep the clip below to witness the reunion between the Cavs center and their former head coach. Lue looked surprised that Thompson actually lifted him up.
Of course, every single Cavs fan knows that Lue coached the squad for several seasons. He even led them to a title in 2016 against the 73-win Golden State Warriors squad. Down 3-1, Lue guided the LeBron James-led Cavs to the greatest comeback in sports history. And Thompson’s tenacity and rebounding ability certainly aided them in that campaign.
So it’s not a surprise that the two shared a great moment together moments before tipoff. They’ve been through a lot with the Cavs, both on and off the court. For Thompson and Lue, their friendship extends outside of the basketball court.
