Video: Cavs’ Matthew Dellavedova, Tristan Thompson pull off classic lob connection
The partnership between Cleveland Cavaliers point man Matthew Dellavedova and center Tristan Thompson gave the fans a taste of vintage, connecting on this lob play against the LeBron James-less Los Angeles Lakers.
In classic fashion, the Cavs ran the weave only for Delly to lob the ball from the 3-point line to a rim-running Thompson in stride, finding him open for the easy alley-oop play.

The Cavs snapped a season-worst 12-game losing skid against the Lakers, improving to 9-35 in the season in what could be a splash of happiness during a ruthless six-game West Coast road trip.
This Delly-Thompson link only brings nostalgic memories to their time together the Aussie’s first three seasons in the league (2013-16), when he enjoyed some chemistry with Cleveland’s bigs.
Dellavedova has been a revelation since coming back to the Cavs after two-seasons-and-change with the Milwaukee Bucks, posting 8.5 points on 48.4 shooting from the floor and 45.1 percent from deep along with 3.8 assists per game.
Thompson leads Cleveland in rebounding, putting up a strong double-double average of 11.7 points and 11.2 rebounds per game this season.
