Going up against the best players in the league has brought out the best from some of the biggest stars in the NBA today. The same can be said of Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James, who has saved his most impressive performances in the past while competing against elite players as well.

On Tuesday against the Oklahoma City Thunder, he found himself defended by his good friend, Carmelo Anthony. Seeing no double-team in sight, James used his quickness to spin around him and throw down an emphatic two-handed slam to the delight of the Cavs’ bench, leaving the crowd inside Chesapeake Energy Arena in awe of his move.

The Cavs are entering the game on a three-game winning streak and are looking to remain perfect with their new players now onboard. After losing 14 of their previous 22 outings, the Wine and Gold are starting to turn things around with James leading them as expected. If they can string a few more wins together, it will send a strong message to the rest of the competition that they are still the team to beat in the Eastern Conference and that they are once again on track to making a strong run for the title.

The Thunder, on the other hand, won their last game and will do their best to start another winning streak if they win on the night. With the race for the playoffs in the West starting to heat up, every game counts and the Thunder also know that winning against a team like the Cavs will give them a lot of confidence heading to the All-Star break.
