It does not feel good to be a Cleveland Cavaliers fan these days. LeBron James and the Cavs have won just two of their last nine games. After getting blown out in back-to-back games by the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Toronto Raptors on Monday and Thursday, respectively, the Cavs looked like they were going to stop their skid on Friday, when they had a 22-point lead at the half against the Indiana Pacers. Instead, it only gave the Cavs a higher cliff to fall from.
The Pacers would erase that huge lead eventually. They had a precarious one-point advantage with under five seconds to go in regulation with the Cavs in possession of the ball. LeBron James had a great opportunity to get his team the lead back with only Pacers guard Darren Collison in front of him, but he was caught stepping on the baseline as he was making his way to the basket.
The Cavs would get the ball back with a second to go, but James can’t bury a tough 3-point shot attempt similar to what he made in a win against the Washington Wizards last season.

The loss wasted James’ effort. The four-time MVP nearly had another triple-double, finishing the game with 27 points, 11 assists, and eight rebounds. James shot 11-of-25 from the field, but he had dismal 2-for-9 shooting from beyond the arc.
The Cavs will have to forget this loss and get there acts together soon, as they have a rematch with the Golden State Warriors this Monday at Quicken Loans Arena.
