Given all the greatness he’s shown whenever he plays, it’s a very rare sight to see LeBron James miss wide-open shots. What’s even more uncommon is witnessing him fail to throw down uncontested dunks in transition. However, that was the case on Tuesday night, when the Cleveland Cavaliers faced off against the Brooklyn Nets.

After stealing the ball, LeBron James was all alone on the fastbreak. He made his approach to the hoop and attempted a windmill dunk, but he muffed it, to the shock of the home crowd inside Quicken Loans Arena.

The Cavs have recently found their groove, and after their very slow start, have strung five straight wins to take their record to 10-7 for the season. Despite the missed dunk, James is once again expected to lead the team in their quest to further extend their current winning streak.

Through 17 games, the Cavs star forward is averaging stellar numbers of 28.3 points, 7.4 rebounds, 8.5 assists, 1.2 steals, and 1.2 blocks in 37.9 minutes per game. Knowing how competitive he is, it can be expected that LeBron James will try to make up for his embarrassing play early in the game, and come up with another strong performance or even a highlight worthy play on the night.
