LeBron James, Jordan Clarkson, Cavs teammates celebration

Jordan Clarkson

It’s only been one game, but LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers seem to have a new mojo about them, and they actually look like they are having fun again on the court.

Near the start of the fourth quarter Jordan Clarkson his a three-pointer, and with the game well in hand, the Cavs bench reacted accordingly.

Nearly the entire bench came onto the court, and James and Jordan Clarkson look like they already have their celebration game down.

The Cavaliers got contributions from nearly everyone on the way to a 121-99 drubbing of the Celtics. LeBron led the way with 24 points, 10 assists, and 8 rebounds.

The Cavaliers had seven players in double figures, and a lot of the reserves got a lot of minutes. If they can keep that up and LeBron can sit the fourth quarters on the bench, that will go a long way in keeping his legs fresh for the playoffs.

It will be interesting to see if this was the new norm for this team, or if LeBron James was just a little extra motivated with the new players, and wanting to ruin Paul Pierce’s jersey retirement ceremony day.

There was a lot of comments on twitter about Paul Pierce and the Celtics, but one of the best came from Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com:

The Celtics clearly just didn’t want to take away from Paul Pierce’s day. Wanted him to be the highlight of it all for the Celtics haha.

Whatever the issue was the Celtics didn’t come out strong in this game, and the Cavs took advantage on this afternoon.
