The Cleveland Cavaliers have dominated the Boston Celtics in the first half of their Game 3 matchup in the Eastern Conference Finals. With the odds stacked against the Cavs, Kevin Love and LeBron James decided to take matters into their own hands.

Near the three-minute mark of the second quarter, Love found a cutting James and the former bounced a slick pass to the four-time MVP who then finished the play with a sick slam dunk reminiscent of his early years in the NBA.

Check out the smooth-turned-sick connection in the clip below:

The Cavs are scorching from beyond the arc in the first 24 minutes of play, converting on nine of their 17 attempts for a 52-percent clip. James finished the half with 19 points, six assists, two steals, and two blocks on an efficient 6-of-8 shooting from the field and an immaculate mark from long distance. Love has been quiet with only four points to his name, but the All-Star power forward had already snagged six rebounds to his name.

This only goes to show how important of a weapon the 3-pointer is for the Cavs. The defending Eastern Conference champions live and die with the long bomb. Cleveland finished the first half with the upper hand, 61-41.
