Jeff Green could prove to be a viable contributor off the bench for the Cavs this upcoming season. He has shown much versatility to play both forward positions on each end of the floor throughout his nine-year career so far. He also possesses much experience playing both as a starter and in a reserve role that could help him further acquiesce to his new team.
Green may have the opportunity to become relied upon as one of the primary sources of offensive production off the bench as he is averaging 13.5 points per game for his career. The preseason could provide him the opportunity to gather consistent playing time behind offseason addition Jae Crowder at power forward in various small-ball lineup combinations.
The 31-year-old is coming off a productive lone campaign with the Orlando Magic where he averaged 9.2 points on 39.4 percent shooting from the field with 3.1 rebounds in 22.2 minutes per contest in 69 games played with 11 starts.
