Madison Square Garden has always been a special place for Dwyane Wade. Outside of being one of the most famous arenas in the world, it has been the venue for some of the best games he’s had in his career,  New York also brings a lot of celebrities during home matchups, as they come out to support their team.

During Monday’s game between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the New York Knicks, Wade and company pulled off a hard-earned, come-from-behind victory to stun the crowd, which includes Leslie Jones of Saturday Night Live.

However, the 12-time All-Star gave her a reason to smile after the match as he handed his game-worn pair of shoes to the SNL star, who is an avid Knicks fan. On his way to the locker room, Wade also talked about how important their win was, as the Cavs have not started strong this year.

Wade’s gesture goes to show how he loves to interact with celebrities. He is not a stranger to being around them, as he is married to one, actress Gabrielle Union. It’s also a classy move for him, as he once again proved that the city and the fans of New York are special to him.

The win brought the Cavaliers back to .500 for the season with a 7-7 record. However, more than the win, their confidence will definitely be boosted with it, which could be the difference they’re looking for to finally get over their slow start.
