It’s safe to say the Cleveland Cavaliers have had a roller coaster off season. Topped by the surprising trade of dynamic point guard Kyrie Irving for scoring machine Isaiah Thomas, it has been an up and down summer for the Wine and Gold. For good measure, they have also added defensive specialist Jae Crowder, promising big man Ante Zizic, European rising star Cedi Osman, former MVP Derrick Rose, veteran floor general Jose Calderon, and versatile swingman Jeff Green to go along with the coveted first round draft pick in next season’s stacked NBA Draft to their arsenal.

With that being said, there still are some familiar faces that will walk into the Cavs’ practice facility come training camp. One of those faces is the team’s forever-reliable big man Tristan Thompson. The Canadian workhorse was again sensational last campaign, but had an underwhelming Finals series where the Cavaliers missed his spark and hustle in all four of their losses. Nevertheless, the rebounding machine was brilliant overall again in the heart of the paint for the former world champions who were crowned Eastern Conference kings for the third season running.

Thompson is also known for dating one of the Kardashian sisters, Khloe. The pair have been together for some time now, and despite rumors the couple were experiencing difficult times during last season, Khloe sitting inside Quicken Loans Arena supporting the Cavs during the Finals series instantly put those speculations to bed.

With all the drama surrounding the Kardashians, Thompson remains comfortable, so much so, this summer he’s been having some fun with his other half on Snapchat.

Yes, singing may not be his strong suit, but at least he’s given everyone a laugh during an offseason where it would be much easier to cry as a Cavs fan. It’s safe to assume the Cavaliers’ iron-man will stick to rebounding from here on out, but we always enjoy seeing this side of our beloved big man.

Never change, Tristan.
