With Cavs Set To Wear Home White, Fans At The Q Will Look To Continue The “Black Magic”

The Cleveland Cavaliers are all about the Wine and Gold colors, but it seems that the team is adopting a new shade as they get closer to either a major heartbreak or monumental success.

In Game 5 of the finals held at Oracle Arena, the Cavs spoiled the Golden State Warriors’ party plans that night. They also sported, for the first time in the playoffs, their black alternate sleeved jerseys instead of the usual navy blue.

When the series shifts to Cleveland for Game 6, fans at The Q will be united in wearing black, per Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com.

After the Cleveland Cavaliers’ success in the sleeved black jerseys on Friday night, and the sleek look that fans adore, the team has announced a change in the T-shirt for Thursday night’s Game 6.

Instead of the usual wine-colored tee, the Cavs will make it black, calling for the sellout crowd to participate in a “blackout” in an attempt to “Defend The Land.”

Call them superstitious, but at this point, anything that could work in the Cavs’ favor, whether it’s not changing socks or doing the exact same routine before game time, will be welcomed.
