There are a ton of rumors about if LeBron James will be leaving the Cleveland Cavaliers this summer, and if he does decide to leave, where he will end up going. While many rumors have been and will continue to fly around about James’ free agency, one of the crazier ones came out on Thursday.

According to Chris Sheridan of NJ.com, the former ESPN writer who has come up with a number of reasons James could leave, LeBron James is going to Cleveland because of Cavs’ owner Dan Gilbert’s support for Donald Trump.

“When the information was given to me, my source said: “The entire NBA knows it. The only people who don’t are the media.”

“The No. 1 reason why this is going to happen is because Cavs owner Dan Gilbert is a huge Trump supporter; LeBron is not.”

LeBron has made his feelings clear about Trump, going as far as to call him a bum. James has taken center-stage as a social activist over the last few years, and a lot of his ideas don’t line up with some of the questionable remarks coming from Trump.

It has always been known that James and Gilbert haven’t seen eye to eye, but they put their differences asides so James could come back to Cleveland to try and win a championship for the land.

Now, however, it seems like their differences might be too much to overcome, and if, in fact, it has turned political, it might be too far gone to repair.

For James and the Cavs there is still a lot left to be done with this season. Despite all the injuries and lineup changes, Cleveland remains focused on trying to win another NBA Championship.
