It looks like the Cleveland Cavaliers are in the midst of a fire sale right now. According to reports, the Cavs are looking to clean up its books with its future in mind. As such, this could ultimately lead to the departure of the likes of Kevin Love, Collin Sexton, and Larry Nance Jr.

According to The Athletic’s Zach Harper, the Cavs have found themselves in a bit of a bind in terms of their cap flexibility. The team is hoping to clear a significant amount of cap room for the immediate future and it looks like they’ve already devised a plan on how to execute the same:

The Cavs aren’t just hoping to move Kevin Love’s deal this summer, as pie-in-the-sky as that might be. The Cavs could be willing to take on money now for this coming season if it means clearing deals like Larry Nance Jr. or even Cedi Osman for next season’s books. That might mean attaching Taurean Prince as cap relief with him only having one year left on his deal. The Cavs want to clean up some of this cap mess for the near future since Jarrett Allen is going to cost them.

Kevin Love’s future with the Cavs has always been in doubt. Just recently, Collin Sexton has also been rumored to be a key trading piece for the Cavs this offseason. As it turns out, even Larry Nance Jr., Cedi Osman, and Taruean Prince could be placed on the trading block as well — if they haven’t been already.

One crucial takeaway here is that the Cavs appear to have high hopes for Jarrett Allen. It seems as though Cleveland considers the 23-year-old big man to be a key piece of the team’s core. Allen is going to be a free agent in the offseason, though, and by the looks of things, the Cavs are preparing to make him a considerable offer to extend his deal in Cleveland.
