Over the past two seasons, Tyronn Lue has not been shy to call out his players whenever they do not play well. That includes their franchise star, LeBron James, who the third year head coach has not been easy on, especially because he understands his importance to the team.

On Tuesday night, the Cleveland Cavaliers once against faced the Brooklyn Nets, who surprisingly won over them in their first meeting of the season. Wanting a different result on the night, Lue once again criticized James for his subpar first half performance.

That paid dividends for the team though, as LeBron James was pumped up and played much better in the second half. He then received some sort of credit from Tyronn Lue, who described it as “good.”

With all the praise LeBron James has been getting from fans, and even his fellow players, Lue is taking a different approach on the Cavs forward. It’s obvious that Lue is giving James “tough love,” in order to bring out the best in him all the time.

Here’s something that perfectly sums up how determined LeBron James was down the stretch:

Tyronn strong comments in the first half worked, and for the whole team as well, as they won the game, 119-109. It extended their winning streak to six games, and now have an 11-7 record. James finished with 33 points, six rebounds, and five assists, leading the way for the Cavs.
