The Toronto Raptors are on the verge of being eliminated by the Cleveland Cavaliers once again. They are in the same position right now against the Cavaliers, down 3-0, still figuring out how to get past LeBron James and company. Is head coach Dwane Casey to blame for the Raptors’ struggles? Tyronn Lue doesn’t believe so.

As reported by Joe Vardon of cleveland.com, Lue said that it would be absurd if the Raptors fired Casey:

“That’s crazy,” Lue said ahead of Game 4, in which the Cavs will look for a second straight sweep of the Raptors. “I mean, to change a team who they said played iso basketball, to being top three, I guess, in offense and defense this year, the second best record in the NBA, like, it’s just, I don’t believe that one bit.

“I mean, it would be absurd to make a move like that.”

The Raptors finished with a 59-23 record for best in the Eastern Conference. Yet despite their success in the regular season, they are struggling with a Cavaliers team which failed to find a rhythm all year long. But now, it seems that the tables have been turned. It’s been characteristic for the Raptors to falter when faced with immense pressure.

Whether or not Casey is let go or not, the Raptors certainly need to figure things out soon. After a slew of disappointing playoff performances, critics believe that the team is heading for a break up in the offseason. They have one more game to shut the critics up.
