Just like everybody else, Tyronn Lue was shocked when he heard the news of the massacre in Las Vegas, where a deranged killer sprayed bullets all over a crowd of people that were watching a country music concert last Sunday. The incident left 59 dead bodies and hundreds more injured.

It’s a matter that has affected the Cleveland Cavaliers coach personally not only because he’s called Las Vegas home every summer for the last nine years, but also because among those hurt were three of his friends, according to Joe Vardon of Cleveland.com.

Lue said 15 of his friends attended the concert, and all three of his friends who were shot are still alive.

The bloodiest shooting episode in U.S. history happened while Tyronn Lue and his Cavs were in the thick of their preparations for the upcoming season, and what happened probably put things into perspective for the coach.

The shooter executed his diabolical plan from a room at Mandalay Bay and used a number of high-grade weaponry.

The Cavs mentor used to own a house in Las Vegas but since selling the property has been staying at the Aria Hotel and Casino for the previous two summers.
