Amidst the Kyrie Irving-Isaiah Thomas craze, Tyronn Lue has been able to remain focused on other nooks and crannies within the basketball world. The recent acquisition of Isaiah Thomas and co. from the Celtics has been seen as a win for the Cavs this offseason, but that doesn’t mean room for improvement has ceased.

According to Uproxx, the BIG 3 official website sent out a statement they then later edited saying Tyronn Lue was allegedly at the BIG 3 Championship scouting out talent Rashad McCants, the No. 1 overall draft pick in the BIG 3 league. The 32 year old last played in the NBA back in 2009, when he saw himself bouncing around different NBA locker rooms and training camps, only to ultimately take his talents to various teams all across the world.

McCants was a first round pick back in 2005 when the Timberwolves selected him fourteenth overall. The North Carolina Product never truly got to shine in the NBA, but his recent efforts in the BIG 3 league deserves some attention.

Although her will be 33 in September, McCants should not be overlooked as a decent option. The Cavs will have to get creative if they want to taste the sweet victory in the NBA Finals once again, and entertaining the idea of having McCants play on a very cheap deal may be what the Cavs need moving forward.
