It has been a little over a month since the rumors started swirling that Tristan Thompson had cheated on Khloe Kardashian and more details of exactly why Tristan did it are starting to emerge.
According to sources close to US Weekly, Tristan felt pressured to kiss the women who kept throwing themselves at him, and he broke down crying in Khloe’s hospital room after she gave birth to their baby, True.
He also told Khloe that he was happy he got caught, and maybe even did it in front of all the cameras so that he would get caught.
‘It’s the unspoken rule in the NBA that players hook-up with groupies on the road,’ the insider added. ‘He has promised Khloé to never cheat on her again. She has chosen to believe him.’
Last week Khloe was spotted at Cavaliers home game, and the two were seen at a movie after the Cavaliers clinched their Eastern Conference Semifinal series against the Toronto Raptors.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out, and if this is the same excuse he gave to Khloe and her family. Usually, when someone cheats it’s best to just own up to it and take the blame, but Tristian isn’t doing that, instead blaming it on the culture of the NBA.
For Thompson and the Cavaliers, they hope that this is all behind him now and he can just focus on basketball. He was a huge reason that the Cavaliers even made it to the second round, and against the Celtics, he is going to need to be an impact player.
