Cavs news: Top reactions to Kyrie Irving-Isaiah Thomas trade possibly being voided
Just when we thought that the NBA offseason had emptied its bag of tricks and surprises, the Boston Celtics and the Cleveland Cavaliers authored one of the most jaw-dropping transactions of the summer.
As you have likely already heard, the Celtics pulled the trigger and traded spitfire guard Isaiah Thomas, Jae Crowder, Ante Zizic, and the Brooklyn Nets’ 2018 first-round pick to the Cavaliers in exchange for Kyrie Irving. Right after the transaction was announced, different social media platforms were immediately lit up with reactions from stunned fans, players, and several other personalities.
But wait, that’s not the end of it all, as what everyone earlier thought was a done deal, is now becoming a saga of sorts with the Cavaliers having second thoughts after Thomas underwent a physical examination. Thomas has a hip issue, one that isn’t career-threatening but could be serious enough to force Thomas to sit out the early parts of the upcoming season. And because of that, the Cavs have been reportedly flirting with the idea of voiding the deal.
Imagining that Thomas and Irving would be sent back to their respective teams for next season is going to be an even bigger development that people would surely have a hard time wrapping their mind around. That was mighty evident on some early reactions about the possibility of the deal ultimately not going through.
Cavs plan: Agree to trade for Isaiah Thomas knowing he has hip injury and void the trade after the physical to destroy C’s chemistry..

Best course of action for Boston is to add their own 2018 1st with protection. Kyrie Irving is the long-term PG for the next 7 years.

Don’t sleep on the NBA offseason just yet. Craziness never ceases in the NBA, especially with bold front offices apparently still in the midst of concocting wild transactions this summer.
